You are the same type of people that will say "I don't like her" to someone because they are PHYSICALLY ATTRACTIVE!.

Ameriie is NOT BLACK, Mya is NOT black, Rashida Jones is NOT black, Tia and Tamera Mowry are NOT black, Halle Berry is NOT black, Barack Obama is NOT black. If she says she is not black then she is not black. Bi-racial/mult-racial people are NOT BLACK GET OVER IT. If she is bi-racial what's it to you? You're jealous because you're not bi-racial? I happen to LOVE BI-RACIAL/MULTI-RACIAL people and think the world of them but not Keyshia in particular. This is one of the many reasons why black people make me sick. Just because she states she is bi-racial you don't like her? Never mind the fact that her music + personality = detestable it's no because she is bi-racial. But after reading these comments the reasons that you all give for not liking her is PATHETIC. I am 5:26 and as you can clearly see by my comments I have never been a fan of Keyshia Cole from the start. These mixed folk that think they ain't black need to get a grip and start reading some history books. Mel Gipson is a social pariah in Hollywood now for that reason too. Not because of their views but because they speak so openly about them. That's why white folk hate the KKK so passionately. The majority of white folk are for white folk ONLY. As much as they claim they're color blind eventually they will show their true colors. They can claim that white part of them till the cows come home but trust white folk aint checking for your BLACK ass. They need to get out of denial about who they really are. Do I love my white mom any less than my black dad? No. That is how I have been treated and how I identify. I'm techincally mixed (black/white) but I am a black woman. These crackers don't care about nobody being biracial. Keyshia please shut the hell up! you make us all look like a bunch of mixed up nuts! I for one am sick of it. This would be like Robin thick wondering why he'd be invited to the BET Awards when he knows that most of his fans are black. If she questioned half of them she'd never be on a stage. 99.9% of her exposure comes from events geared by and towards black people. The point that most of us are trying to make is she's never questioned doing any of these other Black events. When did you last see a pic of her on the cover or even inside of US, People, or any non-Black centered magazine? I bet you she didn't say a peep when they asked her to take pics and do a story for Ebony magazine. I don't think I've ever seen her on stage at the Grammy's, AMA's or MTV awards.ĭidn't she complain about not getting nominated for BET 2011 awards? She's performed on different BET award shows numerous times.
KEYSHIA COLE YOU VE CHANGED TV
She had 2 reality TV shows on Black Entertainment Television and never complained about why they would ask her when she was cashing her checks. I could really care less what she calls herself but the hypocrisy is what's most blatant to me. We don't ask to be conceived, and we sure have no say in HOW. As for trick babies-don't blame the child for their mother's behavior. A bastard baby is one that is conceived by unwed parents-which nowadays includes almost everyone (myself included). She is a strong woman who has made a success of herself despite all of the negativity around trick baby does not equal bastard baby. Genetics are a funny thing.ĭon't be so hard on Keyshia-I believe that she is trying out an identity and a self-label because the one she was given by society, her family and the black community is not complete. Look at the POTUS- he doesn't look white or necessarily "mixed"-but he is. It is not too far-fetched for her to believe that her father is white. Keyshia has the right to search for her identity and to try to make sense out the circumstances under which she was conceived-but that should be done PRIVATELY considering her fanbase and the many black girls and women who look to her as a black icon. What good would it do to tell Keyshia that her father is a white trick? Also the shame that Keyshia's mother must feel about the things she did back then-even crackheads have pride. I think her mother does know that her father is white, but won't tell her for the very reasons others on here have stated-she was raised in a black community with black people, and the fact that her mother was a crackhead probably tricking.

Maybe she is saying he is white because something inside her (intuition, instinct) is telling her that he is. I am in the same boat-I don't know who my father is either.

I agree that she should have thought of her fanbase when saying this, but I also see a person who is searching for answers when none are given to her.
